To use: Place placemat on table and use scissors to cut food onto it. After baby is done eating, wipe mat with a napkin or wipe, roll up, and stick it in the zipper tote. When you get home, rinse with warm soapy water or place in the top rack of the dishwasher.

I could have gotten the scissor cheaper on other sites, but it's the wipeable zipper tote that contains the items that made me get it. I can't really find the bag separately at a reasonable price. The scissor is sharp and feel great; the placemat is a plus when we are out and about. I'm glad this combo of product exist to alleviate me getting the items separately.

I was so disappointed in less than one month the scissors got rust in between the blades . Definitely not durable.

The best advice to prevent rust is to dry the stainless steel really well after washing. But if rust happens, there are easy ways to remove it. One is to mix baking soda and water to make a paste, carefully spread it on the blades and let sit for an hour, then use a soft sponge to lift the rust. Rinse and dry thoroughly, and it should be good as new! We sent an email to make sure this works for you.
